1. About Selfseed
Selfseed is an AI-powered garden design service that generates personalised planting plans based on your garden's conditions. The service is operated via the Polsia platform and accessible at selfseed.co.uk.
Selfseed is currently a free service. We will notify you before any charges apply.
2. Eligibility
To use Selfseed you must:
- Be at least 13 years of age
- Be capable of forming a binding contract under applicable law
- Provide accurate information during registration
3. Your Account
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at selfseed@polsia.app if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or appear to have been compromised.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, or rights-infringing content
- Use the service for commercial resale of plans without written permission
- Scrape or bulk-extract data from Selfseed
- Attempt to reverse-engineer our AI or algorithms
- Interfere with the service, its infrastructure, or other users
- Use automated bots to access the service
5. Content You Provide
You retain ownership of photos and content you upload. By uploading, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your content solely to provide the service to you — generating your planting plan.
You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any content you submit. Do not upload identifiable photos of other people without their consent.
6. AI-Generated Planting Plans
Selfseed uses AI to generate planting recommendations based on your conditions and preferences. These recommendations are:
- Provided as guidance only — not professional horticultural advice
- Based on publicly available horticultural data and AI modelling
- Not a guarantee that specific plants will thrive in your garden
For complex projects, contaminated land, or specialist requirements, consult a qualified professional.
Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Planned maintenance will be communicated where possible.
7. Intellectual Property
All Selfseed content — website design, AI models, algorithms, software, brand — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy or redistribute it without permission.
Your personalised planting plan is yours to use for your own garden. You may share it, print it, or post it on social media. You may not resell plans or use them as the basis of a commercial service.
8. Affiliate Links & Commission
Affiliate disclosure: Your planting plan contains links to UK plant retailers. When you purchase through these links, Selfseed may receive a commission. This is how we fund the free service. The price you pay is never affected by our affiliate relationship.
We recommend plants based on horticultural suitability, not commission rates. Purchases through affiliate links are subject to the retailer's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party retailers' products, delivery, or customer service.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Selfseed is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We are not liable for loss or damage from reliance on AI-generated recommendations
- We are not liable for plants that fail to thrive, are unavailable, or cause garden damage
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed £100
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. UK consumers retain all statutory rights.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify Selfseed from claims, damages, or expenses arising from your breach of these terms or unlawful use of the service.
11. Termination
Delete your account at any time by emailing selfseed@polsia.app. We may suspend your access for breach of these terms, legal requirement, or service discontinuation (with reasonable notice). Your data is handled per our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms. Material changes are flagged with an updated date above and notified by email where appropriate. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
13. Governing Law
